The Metropolis Filmorchester was founded in 1996 by the two musicians Marcus Kanzler und Olav Calbow. Both wanted to make symphonic film music accessible to a broad audience.
At the same time they developed the idea to create a multimedia show to go along with the orchestra. Responsible for the light design is Kai Lehmkühler. Film editing and projection is the work of Boris Feldmann. In the center of the attention stand the 80 members of the Metropolis Filmorchester, all professional musicians, conducted by Leo Siberski from Berlin.
